FSC® Management System Policy and Purpose

The Management of Plastica Valmisa S.p.A. has decided to highlight its Chain of Custody FSC-COC control system by purchasing raw materials from FSC-COC certified suppliers for those products included in the “Product Group List.”
This strategic choice is driven by the awareness that only ecologically sustainable use of resources will allow us to preserve an adequate forest heritage for future generations. Furthermore, Plastica Valmisa S.p.A. aims to raise awareness among its clients regarding proper forest management practices, guiding their purchasing decisions toward FSC-certified materials.
The Management of Plastica Valmisa S.p.A. intends to encourage all strategic suppliers to comply promptly with the standards set by international regulations regarding the environment, sustainable development, ethics, and fundamental labor rights. To achieve this, the Management is committed to mobilizing all available resources and the dedication of both internal and external professionals.
Management Statements
The Management declares its intention to fully comply with legal and regulatory requirements regarding safety (Legislative Decree 81/08), the environment, and fundamental labor rights.
Regarding the respect for fundamental labour rights, the Management states that it scrupulously adheres to the Italian Constitution and complies with the laws concerning workers’ rights, particularly:
- The employment of minors is not allowed;
- Any form of coercion or pressure on prospective or current employees is strictly prohibited;
- Discrimination based on salary, gender, or ethnicity is not allowed, and equal opportunities for promotions and employment are promoted;
- All workers have the freedom of association and the right to be represented by an autonomous and independent union to exercise collective bargaining rights.
Plastica Valmisa S.p.A. intends to refrain from engaging directly or indirectly in the following activities:
- Illegal deforestation or illegal trade of timber or forest products;
- Violation of traditional human rights related to forestry operations;
- Destruction of high-conservation values related to forestry operations;
- Significant conversion of forests into plantations or non-forest uses;
- Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations;
- Violation of key ILO conventions as defined in the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
The FSC-COC Management System Manual constitutes the set of directives to be followed in all business activities and in the definition of contractual requirements with Suppliers, employees, and Clients.
As in previous years, employees will be represented by a Workers’ Representative (RLS), and regarding safety, the responsibility of the RSPP (Responsible for the Prevention and Protection Service) will be to ensure compliance with the Consolidated Safety Act 81/2008.
The Management is available to demonstrate to the competent authorities the actions taken to ensure respect for workers’ fundamental rights, ethical principles, and safety standards.
All personnel are required to operate in accordance with the directives outlined in this Manual.
