For years, Valmisa Packaging has been supporting the promotion of a more sustainable and fair world, through choices capable of reducing the impact of production on the environment, and with the implementation of processes to guarantee the safety of its employees and the quality of the service offered to its customers.

The FSC® certification, achieved and maintained since 2009, and the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 company Quality Management System certification, obtained with great satisfaction in 2021, guide the company towards compliance with rigorous environmental standards, social and economic and bear witness to the success of the path undertaken.

The company selection of raw materials is always oriented towards the prevention of pollution and the continuous improvement of environmental performance: almost all products are made of FSC® certified paper, printed with water-based inks (flexographic printing) or vegetable-based inks (lithographic printing) and packaged with solventless water-based glues. For the production of plastic products, on the other hand, lead-free masterbatches and “Ok Compost” certified compostable bioplastic are used; plastic waste is entirely recycled in an internal department specifically dedicated to the regeneration of polyethylene, kartene and bioplastic.

Valmisa Packaging’s commitment to protecting the environment is not only realized through the preference for eco-sustainable raw materials, but also through the self-production of the energy necessary to power the different production departments. In fact, the company is constantly looking for the most advanced technologies that can guarantee zero environmental impact, and to this end, with great financial effort, it has installed 9 new generation photovoltaic systems that make it completely self-sufficient from an energy point of view.
